Belarus citizens will be free for 15 days of Vietnam Visa from 1 July, 2015

Citizens of Belarus will be exempted for 15 days of visas into Vietnam as from July 1, 2015.

Under a resolution just issued by the government, visitors from Belarus are allowed to enter and stay in Vietnam for up to 15 days without visas regardless of passport types and purpose of visit.
The policy will be effective for five years from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2020.
Citizens of Belarus can enter and stay in Vietnam for 15 days of free Vietnam Visa. If they want to stay longer (more than 15 days), they need to apply Vietnam Visa. There are 2 ways to obtain a Vietnam Visa at present time: Apply Vietnam Visa from any embassy of Vietnam in the world or Apply Vietnam Visa online to get the Visa upon arrival.
Currently, Vietnam unilaterally exempts visas for citizens of Japan, the Republic of Korea, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Russia. It bilaterally grants 30-day exemptions for citizens from nine out of the 10 ASEAN member states.

How to get a Vietnam visa for land or sea entry?

Regrettably, Vietnam visa on arrival only works with air travel only. As for those who visit Vietnam by road, land or sea (ship, boat, cruise…) we recommend you to apply in person at Vietnam Embassy/Consulate for your visa.

Please read instructions below to see how to get a Vietnam visa for overland or sea entry.

Normally, you have to go directly to Vietnam Embassy to submit the Visa application. However, several embassies allow applying for a Vietnam visa by post.

Therefore, the best way is to access the official website of the embassy to get specific information.

The general Vietnam visa requirements at embassy include:
-  A valid passport that has at least one blank page (valid at least 6 months before your entry date).
-  A completed application form (available on website or office of the embassy)
-  A passport-sized photo to stick on the form
-  Vietnam visa fee (in cash)
-  Self-addressed return envelope if you wish your passport to be returned by post
-  For business visa, you may be requested to provide a visa authorization issued by Vietnam Immigration Department. Ask your partner or sponsor in Vietnam to arrange it for you. In case you have no partners, contact the embassy to receive the assistance.

The Vietnam visa application can’t be cancelled after being received by Vietnam Embassy/Consulate. You have to bear full responsibility for accuracy of information in the form. If the visa has any errors because of your incorrect information, you are required to pay extra fee for the remedy.

Tips for getting Vietnam Visa at the airport

Whether you plan to visit Vietnam for business or pleasure, it is important to understand the entry requirements for the country. A trip to Vietnam can be a once in a lifetime experience, but a problem with your passport or Visa could easily ruin the trip. Knowing what you need, and how to get it, ahead of time will make things run much more smoothly.

You probably already know you need a valid passport to enter Vietnam. When looking at your passport, make sure that the expiration date is at least six months from your intended dates of travel. If not, you will need to have your passport renewed well in advance of your trip.

In addition to the passport, Vietnam also requires visitors to have a valid visa. There are several ways to obtain a visa, including sending your passport and passport photos to a Vietnamese embassy or consulate. Many travelers are uneasy about sending their passports off to a far off location, and that unease is certainly understandable. That is why a number of travel agencies provide tourists and business people with an approval letter they can use to enter the country and get the visa stamp they need. If this sounds like a better solution for you, read on to see what is involved in the process and what you can expect when you arrive at the airport in Vietnam.

The first step is to contact a reputable travel agency that provides approval letter services. You will want to choose an agency with a good reputation, and one that has plenty of experience dealing with Vietnam and its entry requirements.

Once you have found a quality travel agency, you can start the process and get your approval letter from Vietnam Immigration Department (Government). In order to get the approval letter, you will need to provide a few details about your trip, along with information from your passport. In many cases you will be able to perform the entire process, including printing the approval letter, online.

The agency then uses the information you have provided to produce an approval letter for a Vietnam visa. Once you have received the approval letter, you will be able to board a flight bound for Vietnam. When you arrive, you simply provide that approval letter and receive a visa stamp upon arrival at the airport.

Once you have that visa stamp in place, all you need to do to enter the country is pass through customs and be on your way. Once there, you will be free to experience the history, the culture and the people of Vietnam. The country is fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia, and you will be able to experience it firsthand.

As you can see, arranging for an approval letter for aVietnam visa before you leave home is much more convenient. You do not have to send your passport anywhere or get extra pictures taken. You can simply provide a few simple details about your trip and your passport then print the letter from the comfort of your own home.
